DIY Grey Wall paint for Projector Screen. Cheap , Effective with good results

This video is about painting a cemented white wall with Asian Ultra white paint mixed with black color (10-15ml in 1 liter.
Steps
Mount your projector at an appropriate distance from the wall to create a screen.
mark the margins of the projected screen with black electrical tape
Sand the wall properly
Fill all the wall defects using a wall putty
Grey paint required
1 liter of Asian exterior ultra white emulsion and 10-15 ml of black color. Apply 2-3 coats to achieve a good finish
let it dry over night
Remove the black electrical tape
Apply a new electrical tape up to 1 inch broad
There will be noticeable difference in viewing experience

Na gray Na white. Brothers aesa shade batata hun ke apki low lumens projector bhi barhya result de gi. Ap apni wall pe onion white Karo aur Phir dekho apni projector ka result. Ya Phir bilkul white Na Karo balke off white buht hi lite gray bus mela sa white ho wo bhi chale ga. Oil paint Na Karo balke Matt lo. Koi reflection wala color ni lo. Aesa ho jo apki projector ki light ko absorbe karle, Na ke palat ke apke mun pe phenke. Kar ke dekh lo, bhool jao ge ACLR aur expensive screens ko. Pehle zamane me black & white film white pe hi sahi chalti thi ab multi color ka dor he jo pure white pe crisp image ni de sakti

There is increase in brightness but it will hurt your eyes..grey is better the colours become deep and rich though the brightness will decrease

You can do as per your convenience... If your projector has a high brightness then keep the screen slightly grey

Nice video, I really hope for a quick reply to my question. My problem is that even a 100 inch projected screen is overly bright from the white light being projected and it gives me a headache. So instead of a contrast gain paint mix wouldn't a flat matte grey screen be better? My projector is 4000 lumens.

Projectors are not that pixel perfect as the TVs are.. Headache is usually due to the white projector screen, Sitting very close to the screen and low resolution specifications. Ideal is to sit atleast around 3-5 meters aways from screen... First make sure you sit away from screen Grey screen will give you less light reflection and less brightness which will help reduce eyesore

@@themindfull6523 thanks, that's what I figured. I used 1/2 ppg 105 1/4 matte white and 1/4 matte black mixed and used a smooth roller to paint on to the white pull down screen. Turned out fantastic, less brightness of white but better color contrast. @@kamalcreations8407 I made a video on what portions I mixed. Check my KZbin channel! I use and Epson Lcd 2k projector because I get headaches and nausea from dlp projectors with a color wheel. Lcd projectors have no light color flashing because it's 3 color lcds red, blue, green. But dlp chip projectors have a multi color wheel and people are allergic to the strobing colors. Which projector do you have?

Slightly grey tinge.. check you are not creating very big screen like 150+ and you are not sitting close to the projector. I have 150 inch screen and I sit around 26-28 feet away from my screen
