DIY Halloween Paper Lantern | Cricut Halloween project idea

Today I have a really cool Cricut Halloween project to share. I’m going to show you how to make these Halloween paper lanterns with your Cricut. I think they turned out pretty neat and I’m excited to show you how to make your own!

Hi there, I have a silhoette and I don't have the attach feature when I right click, also my files didn't come with the cut lines. Any suggestion?

You don't need to attach anything with the Silhouette. I'm not sure why you can't see the cut lines on the design screen, but when you go to cut the design, you should see the red outline of the cut lines in your preview.

I just saw your video, you make me believe I can actually do this with my cricut!! Do I need a particular blade for this one or the standard one? Also which mat do you use with cardstock? I tried cutting cardstock once and it didnt go well.

You can totally do this! I used the standard blade and the standard green mat. I set my dial to custom materials and chose heavy cardstock.

Your lantern is very beautiful and I have made one my self. Super good tutorial and svg file. I got a little problem with cutting out the smallest details. But it turned out fine anyway. I have a question for you that I hope will be answered. I would like to redo your design a bit to make it as a lantern for my rabbit that has passed away, and have it as a nice memory on my shelf. Would that be ok for you?
