I think I would make my own tabs out of the same fabric. It will look better in my opinion. I always stitch the side seams first. Still a good video.

Wish I could do that! Can you do this if you buy pencil pleat curtains but instead of hook you can just put the rod/pole through the back part where you would normally put hooks on to?

The weave of my curtain fabric seems looser than what you’re using. Would it be good to use a stabilizer for the top before hemming? The fabric is heavy but quite flimsy.

I was just browsing at the site you shared the fabric - your's was linen..., how would 100% polyester be? Or what would you suggest for drapes for a kitchen.
@thediymommy7 жыл бұрын
Bibiane Sproule It would be fine! i have polyester drapes in my kitchen. I don't care as much about the fiber content as how the fabric looks and hangs.

Love the material. Do you have double glazing - I guess that must be standard in such a cold climate. Here in Melbourne Australia I line my curtains with an insulating fabric as we live in an old house which doesn't have double glazing. Good luck with your project - slow and steady wins the race!!!!!! Cheers

This is not a great design. You can make professional looking curtains with a few changes - namely making longer tabs and sewing them on when you sew the edges of the seams.
