Beautiful. That desk. That shiplap. That door. That everything! My fave shot is also the wall with the dark rod and window treatments, olive tree, styled basket and blankets. Such a pretty styled corner. I'd love to see the camera pan back so we could see the light fixture in the room better, and just more of the whole room in general. Also your DIY above the desk is stunning. Bravo to all!

Thank you Rochelle! Yes! I would love to find a little set of chairs or something to put on the opposite side of the desk, we love sitting in here while we're working and talking etc. It's such a "feel good space" now!

Absolutely love the make-over! I build a LOT of custom barndoors for clients, and I will admit that plywood barndoors are typically frowned upon by most "professional" carpenters; but I've commissioned numerous plywood barndoors for clients on a tight budget. Y'all did an amazing job on the shiplap! I'm always thrilled to see people broadening their horizons, and not being scared to learn something new! It comes down to what I refer to as "Courage & Sweat" . . . You've gotta have the courage to try; and you've got to be willing to sweat to get the job done! Again, GREAT JOB!

I am still in awe at your level of patience and tenacity it took to complete it. It is truly a masterpiece and more so when you see what it took to achieve such results. Your office looks so good! I loved the dupe you did for the wall hanging - it's gorgeous, but to me, the cream blends into the white shiplap. It's such a cool piece to be "lost". Have you ever thought about making a dark board to hang on the wall that's just slightly larger than the hanging then putting the hanging on it? It would make it pop. Maybe the same color as the barn door? Just a thought. I love your channel. You are so sweet, calm and very talented. Keep up the good work!❤️

I had an extra closet I cleaned out and put a lot of it in there, also donated a few things as well. :) I hope to find some type of furniture piece in the office to help with storage/books etc. just waiting to find the right piece :)

What did you do to the trim that existed for the closet door, did you just leave it there? Picture please.

I removed the trim around the door, we ship lapped it and covered the frame. I still need to go over the inside of the doorframe with wood filler, sand then paint. I did it this way with the closet door to allow a gap under the barn door. If I had left the trim it wouldn't have fit under the barn door so it had to go. Hope this helps!
