WHAT DID YOU UE FOR THE BUMPER ON THE EDGES?
@kilborn1212 жыл бұрын
Great video! I’m about to do build my simulator and putting green, but don’t want to raise the floor with 2x4s as my ceiling heigh is 9 feet. So I really like your solution. Curious how the green is holding up. In particular by the hitting strip where your feet are. Also did you glue the turf down or does it just lay on top? And last ? Did you add any breaking putts? Thanks!
@tacogolf62672 жыл бұрын
Great questions Ben. The green is solid so far the turf is holding up nice. Where I swing is holding up fine as well. I do not wear soft spikes. I use either tennis shoes or spikeless golf shoes. I did not glue the turf down. And it can be removable as well. The turf just lays on top, and it’s sturdy. It doesn’t move at all. As far as breaking putts, most floors are somewhat uneven so I just laid it down and there are some subtle breaks as a result of the uneven floor, but I did not add any additional breaks to it. It’s designed more for practicing the “must” make putts, and perfecting your stroke. I will do a follow up video here soon explaining how I actually use it. Stay tuned, thanks for watching and please subscribe.

How did you cut the holes? And what exact foam mat did you use….lots of options on that website

Thanks for watching. I cut the holes with a carpet knife… I bought the 1.25 inch mat. Work out mat interlocking. Ask Megan that’s who I worked with. Hope that helps…

Wow that looks amazing! Did you screw down the turf to the Mats under it or is it simply laid on top? Does it move around? Thank you!

Thanks for watching. Nope just laid it on top, and doesn’t move at all. Very easy install…

Great video on how to DIY! Can you tell me what size your putting cups are and where you got them ?
@tacogolf62672 жыл бұрын
Thank you. The cups are 1.5 deep my floor total is 1.75. If your gonna go with 1.75 total like me you would go 1 and 3/8 or 1 and 1/4. You would want more space between the cup and the turf. The cups and the turf I got and onestopsimshop.com. Paul is the owner super nice guy. Thanks for watching

Great video. Very impressive setup. Do the tiles feel squishy underneath? I’m about to build my set up but tested out some EVA tiles and they felt very squishy to stand on. Does it feel less squishy when the turf is over the tiles? Does the turf take most of the weight? Thanks
@tacogolf62672 жыл бұрын
Does not feel squishy to me at all. Once you put the turf on it’s a nice surface… I stand right on the turf when I swing. I will do a follow up video on it. It’s been a year. Stay tuned and please subscribe

how does the putting turf adhere to the mat below?
@tacogolf62672 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and please subscribe…. No glue it just lays down and stays put. It’s dense and heavy enough not to move… it’s pretty cool … we practice on it just about everyday.

That fridge would be a problem for lefties :)
@tacogolf62673 жыл бұрын
Yea it’s a right handed set up. As soon as we get the big fridge in the house I’m getting rid of it, for the lefty’s.

Looks great, I'm looking to build a simulator in my garage as well. What are the dimensions of your enclosure?
@tacogolf62673 жыл бұрын
My dimensions are 10 ft wide by 20 ft long. It’s really a right handed set up only as my fridge would get in the way of a lefties backswing. The most important measure in a sim is width and height. You can get away with 17ft of length. You will be closer to the screen, but the the main is you width. 15 ft is ideal. Height is another big factor. The height of you ceiling must be a min on 9 ft. 10ft. is optimal. Mine is 9.4 ft. Hope that helps.
