So are you going to add spring, stripper plate, top and bottom plate or just this is

Cool vid! by the way if you want to reduce the force have the punch die re ground a slight angle so that way it isn't shearing the entire profile at once.

Thanks for the comment. I was thinkin about that too, only problem is that the steel guides are so small, that they would probably bend or get seized if the faces wouldn't be completly parallel, and i couldn't make the guides bigger because, that's the only size of stock toolsteel i could get for free ;)

Wondering what material you're blanking... is it 16 ga mild steel?

Nice! Do you think it would work on 1/8 inch thick acrylic sheet? I am thinking it would likely shatter or crack. But I am thinking that the re-enforcement might prevent it. Also, heating up the acrylic until it is soft, but not melted before punching might help if cracking happens.

nice one. have you done any cavity forming? do you follow any formula for mold design?

KK not really i just kept an eye on the curcumference of the part such that the sheering force did not excees my max press force.

would you be interested in making a custom dye? 8"x15" basically a a square with a 5 couple circles and 2 rounded edges?

hey Levon, here is the deal, this dye was made by a friend of mine who owned me a favor. I don't have a cnc mill myself, but i did ask my friend about making the dye for you. Unrtunetly he is currently doing 20k parts/month, and has all the clamping jigs in place and calibrated, so hi won't be taking that apart in order to make a single dye.
