I am looking forward to trying this. Deers just destroyed the bark on 2 apple trees so I checked out your other video to try to save my trees.

Elizabeth L. Johnson said, If you say you've used it and refined it for years, I believe you and have faith it will definitely work! I like hearing it will smell like cinnamon or cloves. Remember that cinnamon oil in the eyes, nose, and skin will burn you, if there's enough of it present. Handle with care. Have you used it directly on melons on the vine? You say it works great on the soil perimeter of the garden. I'm hoping that will stop squirrels from eating my melons. If not, though, I will try it directly on the exterior of the melons on the vine. I doubt seriously it would affect the interior meat flavor. I'm in far northern California where we have put up six foot chain-link fence and wish it was taller! Do you fence your garden as well, or just use the repellent? It would work for rabbits, wouldn't it? I'm presently growing garlic and onions (for the odor, also) around my strawberry bed to thwart deer and rabbits. Maybe I'll try it around my 30+ orchard trees, too, which the bear loves in fruiting season!! My trees have been torn up in past years by bears. Thanks for all your hard work refining this recipe and for sharing with us. God Bless you.

I’ve used this extensively on ornamental plants that deer love to eat here in CT. In those situations I spray it right on the foliage. Not sure if it would repel rabbits or not. I usually “repel” them with a pellet rifle. (Rabbit stew). If I where trying to repel rabbits I would probably double the garlic powder because I know they don’t like garlic at all. I surprisingly don’t have a deer issue in my garden but friends of mine have had good luck with the perimeter sprays. I hope it works well for you.
