DIY Homemade Watermelon Lip Balm, recipe included

Hello everyone! In this video, we will show you how we make our Watermelon Lip Balms. We've included our recipe below, this will make approximately 54 lip balms. You can make your labels however you see fit, ours are made for our retail business. They can be customized for shower gifts, party favors, or whatever you like. Im sure you could, since the colorant I use is a powder, I just don't know what color it would turn out. If you make it that way, please let me know how it turns out!

I've used beetroot powder and it turned out well. Smooth and not grainy. I made a slurry first with a bit of glycerin and then added it.

I’ve made a similar recipe using wax, shea butter and jojoba oil along with my essential oil but it seems to leave a bitter thick taste in my mouth. How can I prevent this? Thanks for your video by the way 😊

How much flavor oil are you using? Does it just scent or actually add flavor you can taste?

I use various amounts depending on the specific flavor oil. I always go by the manufacturers recommendations. Most have flavor and smell, only a few are smell only.

I developed the formula for Florida weather, so it takes a lot of heat to melt them. They melt on the lips, but to melt on their own takes a lot.

I buy my lip balm tubes and the fill trays from wholesalesuppliesplus.com There are quite a few places that sell them, but I buy so much from WSP that adding on the lip balm supplies to an existing order saves me money. Especially when its on sale. :)

@@yusmainiyusoff9629 I use colors that are lip safe and approved for use in lip balms. I get most of my colors from wholesalesuppliesplus.com. All of their colors are labeled as safe for lips or not, makes it easy to choose.
