"Tajamasmall", *excellent* !!😂👍🏻 Love it!! And the creativity continues... OMG I LOVE the roof ladder as l do NOT like heights- l am 5' + very arthritic. But with the stabilizer built at the bottom , at least it is secure. As a toddler l wanted a 🐎, as a teen l loved 🐴 +🏕️, in my 30's- an 🚌RV & a 🐴 would've been *THE Dream!!!* Nearing 62 quickly, l know l won't have either, but my mind was totally blown 🤯when I found out that nowadays you can actually buy (or make!) a trailer you share *WITH* your 🐎! O!M!G!!! Absolute *purrfect heaven* to sleep right by my life's dream!!! Wonderful!-- Happy Trails to you and your angels🐎! 🍀🐾🌈☮️🇨🇦

I really enjoyed this video, I have a home made hd aluminum trailer apparently it on a Moritz frame. I love my trailer but I have visions of a camping kitchen like the one you show here. I also love the ladder and your ability to haul hay on top. Id love to know how you keep it dry. I love camping with horses however the hay storage is a challenge. I am now convinced that I need solar in my little trailer. 😊 Good job 👍

That's so cool, I don't own horses but I'd love to convert a horse trailer into a camper trailer. I figure they'll be a whole lot tougher than a typical RV camper:)

Hello, Curious how much the weight of the trailer increased with all the additions, and did offsetting the hitch effect the weight distribution at all? looks lovely. If your ever in Michigan i would love to go for a ride and learn from you. :)

I'm thinking about turning my old stock trailer into a tiny house. What would you do differently if you could go back and redo?
@curly-hairedcountrygal12752 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I'm wanting to convert a horse trailer into a mobile shelter for a couple (each) of pigs and goats or sheep and this was very helpful. I was leaning toward rubber mats-- what is inconvenient about them? I've watched a few other videos- your insulation is the thickest so far and no one else has mentioned putting an additional 1/4" of plywood on the outside. Do you feel that's necessary? So it goes insulation, support strips, then plywood-- what would I want to do after that if it's just housing animals? Stain or leave raw? Thank you!

Where, and how do you hang the kitchen boxes?? Thanks
@HorseandMuleAdventureswithTrai Жыл бұрын
When traveling they hang inside the trailer. At camp they go outside

Just ran across your video doing a search, what is so different in thought process through different industry surprises me. I would love to have aluminum but our budget isn't there yet. Almost all ranchers I know here in Nebraska choose steel for the fact that aluminum doesn't hold up off road like steel and should steel break they can all weld it easily in there shop. That being said cows are the sloppiest poopers and ruin a steel trailer faster that our winter road salt. I'll be interested to hear how your aluminum holds up off-roading with horses. I'm hopeful my dream of aluminum won't mean highway queen.
@HorseandMuleAdventureswithTrai3 жыл бұрын
Brandon, Thanks for your note! I had the same concerns about our trailer regarding how sturdy she'd be on our rough forest service roads here in the pacific northwest and throughout the rockies. We haven't had any issues at all. We did have her built 2" higher to accommodate rough roads. I think it helps that the manufacturer (EBY) is a noted builder of commercial cattle haulers. They make 'em strong. Hope this helps. She's anything but a highway beauty!
@brandonm60523 жыл бұрын
@@HorseandMuleAdventureswithTrai Ya I think Wilson/Eby etc should have the structure down. My winning lottery ticket wants a sundowner showman extreme as a highway queen to livestock shows. Here's what we just picked up, it's painted in aluminum color paint so we can pretend for a while haha. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mX3Mf3p6nKiXpc0

Where’s your tack room. How much water do you carry and where on the trailer. I do enjoy your videos. Keep making them. We should meet in Wyoming or Colorado and do some riding and wilderness videos
@HorseandMuleAdventureswithTrai4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the kind words! The tack area is forward of the rolling stock gate. Aft of the that is the pony parking. We have 2 40 gal tanks in the bed of the truck. That would be nice! Haven't ridden in that part of the country yet. Did clinics at the CO horse expo last year before covid but no camping.

Do you mind sharing the curb weight of the trailer before and after your alterations? I just found your channel, and your insight is just what I'm looking for. I bought my first horse trailer last week, and it requires a decent amount of work. I'm willing to learn, and eager to tackle the challenges, just coming up with a gameplan. I've been looking for other people who have already restored/renovated/repaired/improved their project trailers for inspiration. Thanks for sharing!

@Kris, Figure a pair of 8k axles plus a thousand on the hitch... new. As components age, those numbers recede. . Real-World, for the frame and brakes and transmission, I feel comfortable towing that gross with a MDT (Medium-Duty Truck). I think a little one-ton pick-up (3500, 350) is asking for troubles.

How many panels and batteries would a guy need to run lights tv and small fridge constantly.
@largemarge1603 Жыл бұрын
@mak, For our ExpeditionVehicle, our photovoltaic is six 305-Watt panels, a total of 1,830-Watts. . These top our ancient bank of eight 105ah Lifeline Concord AGM. . An aside: The last time we owned a television set was sometime last century. We have zero-zero-zero interest in televisionprogramming.
