I'm gonna try this by hand on an old pr of jeans I have no sewing machine. I was thinking of just cutting 3 inched off the waistband in the back and just replacing it with elastic. I'm a newbie but I try. Any tips would be so appreciated. Thank u. Patricia from Rhode Island
