DIY: How to assemble a Staples KELBURNE Office Chair - UNBOXING, ASSEMBLY TIPS / Walk Through Guide

This video take you through a step by step guide showing you how to assemble an office chair from Staples - the Kelburne Office Chair. Easy to do and can be done in about 15 minutes.
We are assembling the Staples Kelburne Luxura Faux Leather Computer and Desk Chair, Black Model 50859. It also come in a brown version Model 50870.
It has lumbar support and a smart addition to any home office space.

I wish I had watched this Before I tried to put my chairs together. I had such a hard time with putting the top/back of the chair on. It took me hours to do two chairs.

HELP - What you left off - and why I watched this video - was how to adjust the chair once built. You barely show how you rock back, etc. But not how to adjust this with the maximum range back and forth. My problem is the store assembled the chair. The back was straight up and I felt I was leaning too far forward. I asked about adjusting that. Everyone in the store, even the manager, said that the chair would loosen up over time. I said it would not. They demoed the tab on the side that you slide in and out to lock the seat. But it would not rock. They said the chair on display rocked (which is what I wanted) because it had been on the floor for a couple of years and was tried out by a lot of people. My new one would loosen up. When home I looked under the chair and saw the tension knob. I read arrow for direction and turned that to loosen it. Now it rocks but stops too high in front, but it does rock, just not as large a range as the one in the store and not as easy. I'm not sure if I keep trying to get it looser for a real rocking, or sitting back, more easily. I also find the padding under the thighs pinches my thighs so over time that sounds bad, like restricting the blood flow. I'd really like to see you demo and play with the knob adjustment for maximum loosening and showing you rocking in your chair for the maximum back and forth to see the range and the ease that is possible.

do you know the sizing of the type A screws to attach the bottom to the base? I recently got my chair out of storage and apparently have lost those 4 screws and am unable to source replacements.

Take out one of the other screws, then put the something in the hole to check the length & then go to the hardware store.

DO NOT TIGHTEN THE ARM REST BOLTS!!!! That was not in my Lockland pictures-only instructions. Tightening the arm rests pulls them in and spreads the top of the rests out where you cannot get the back bolted in place. I figured this out, loosened and the got the back in place. Once all the bolts were in place, THEN I tightened it all down. Lockland, you need to put that in big print within your pictures-only instructions. Thanks for the video!
