DIY How To Change Replace Oxygen Sensor Upstream O2 Sensor 2001-2005 Honda Civic LX P0132 OBD2 Code

This is a video showing how to change or replace the oxygen sensor (upstream O2 sensor) on a 2002 Honda Civic LX. This process is very similar on a 2001-2005 Honda Civic. I bought the part from O'Reilly Auto Parts and it's a Bosch Premium Oxygen Sensor with part #15710. The OBD2 error code was P0132. I hope you enjoy the video and find it helpful. Did that actually fix the problem as P0132 code is a rich code so the O2 sensor is reading a rich condition.

THIS PART IS INCORRECT for 04-05 civics and the code will stay you need an fuel- oxygen sensor which is simular but not the same as an 02 sensor

How would you know that the upstream 02 sensor is the bank 1 o2 sensor

Upstream sensor is always sensor 1 as its before the cat converter, the down stream sensor is after the cat converter so that will be sensor number 2. Some cars only have one bank but others have more than one bank like a V6 or V8.
