DIY How to clean oil stains off your driveway.

I had some major oil stains left by a cement leveling company in the street in front of my home. A week went by and I was told to use Dawn dish soap and cover the spots with it and let it sit. Don’t rub it in with a broom or wire brush. Just let it sit and let the rain wash it away. I was very skeptical to say the least. After 3 days, it finally rained…and it FREAKING WORKED!! I only had to buy $10 worth.

Spray on brake parts cleaner and cover with kitty litter, then grind in the kitty litter with your feet. Let it sit for at least an hour on a warm day and brush off. Repeat as necessary for older stains, but you can reuse the kitty litter. This process works the best for me out of everything I've tried and requires the least amount of effort.

Dang it. I don't have any clay kitty litter. I switched over to Pretty Litter but I should pick some up just for this sort of thing.

TSP, 2 cups to 6 qts. of water. pour on concrete. Then drizzle tide over area and agitate. Use a pressure washer and buy a surface cleaner. I used the Harbor Freight electric green unit. Added a Bosch pressure adapter to allow quick connect tips. Then went to Lowes and bought the Greenworks surface cleaner for $29. I had 20 year old stains on both sides of my garage. I did have to work several passes but the tough oil stains that were completely black did come up enough to see concrete again.

I just bought that pressure washer from Harbor freight. Thanks for the tip. I’m gonna get that adapter day after work.

Doesn't Oxyclean need warm or hot water to work properly?
