Hi, I found your labels video because my 13 yo daughter wants to start her own cookie company & we've got all the recipes down, the packaging, we're waiting for their delivery in about a week or so & now I am trying to find ways to make our own labels. She's already selling them by word of mouth just like a little side hustle for her education (we homeschool), but we aren't being super professional about it, yet! I use the same spray for mine on regular matte labels. Its definitely the spray that seals it making it waterproof.

@@astoldbylee2746 i will say the only downside with the clear spray is that when it dries/sets, it leaves a fine sand paper feel to it.. with the paper i use now for my labels its a nice smooth finish

Yes that's correct. You can email your design file to your local Staples and they will print for you. I took my own paper because they don't sell the waterproof Avery labels.

I found out a few things during this process so far, but it's arduous at times. way better than working for other companies your whole life though..

I would think that the food would be covered and protected with something prior to applying any label.

I've searched and watched so many KZbin videos and haven't been able to figure out a way to do to waterproof for my labels while protecting the food. And those waterproof sticker papers are so expensive.

Why is it so gritty after spraying?

As you can see it the video, mine are very smooth. The key is the distance from the paper and even coats.

@@nolaprincess93 Hi!!! You're missing that Staples do not print glossy. They only offer a matte finish. The video is showing how to turn matte labels in to glossy labels. I explained it in the original video...this was a follow up video.
