Hi, so I don’t like using the canon or epson apps on the iPad. You can definitely print from your iPad but sometimes you run into issues. I find it’s easier for me to choose my settings on a laptop than on an iPad. But if that’s your only option, download the correct apps for you printer and connect to your printer. You should be able to choose your settings and print from there.

Hello Amanda! What a great video! I am starting a print on demand business in the next month. I was wondering can you explain how you create the template you used in pixelmator to print out 2 thank you cards at once.
@DSLatte19 ай бұрын
What program are U using on your MAC to make the cards? It's exactly what I want. If it isn't changed to a pdf, it changes everything when yountry to print them. 😂 I'm a senior just wanting to make the occasional card project for fun. I just bought the Epspn ET 8550 & am returning it because it's borderless option is terrible. Thank you so much for making this video. Am really looking forward to hearing from you.
@AmandaHoldenDesigns8 ай бұрын
Hi, so I’m using affinity designer. But you can use programs like Canva to make your template. Super easy on there. Just simple make a 4.25x5.5 inch canvas on procreate or Canva if you want to design there. Save your card design, make a new letter size temple and add you card image to the right side of the document as I showed in the video. Put info you want on the left side. Please note that most printers don’t print borderless perfectly and you will have to just be okay with that. Haha 😂 I don’t let it bother me if it’s slightly off, as long as the card looks good. 😊 good luck!
@DSLatte18 ай бұрын
@@AmandaHoldenDesigns Thanks for getting back to me, I appreciate it. I went back to your video again and it said you were using Pixelmator which disappointed me because unfortunately, I don't have a MAC and I don't really use a computer enough to make it worth my while even though I hate my Windows computer and would NEVER buy one again. I'll probably buy a new iPad Pro down the road when they upgrade them. Can you please tell me with the Affinity Designer if you can print pdf files from it? I tried in Adobe Reader and it wouldn't let me. :( Thanks again, I really do appreciate it. I used to use Word Perfect years ago, but it's on a very old desktop that a new printer won't even work with. I just want to get a setup that I can hopefully use with ease instead of running into a problem every which way I turn. I did learn that about borderless printing the hard way. I kept thinking I must be off in my design just a little and kept trying to adjust it until I saw a video on You Tube giving all of the reasons we shouldn't do borderless printing. I think it would be fine with just a plain background that wouldn't matter if anything would be cut off, but it's a problem if there's a design near it. The overspray is supposed to be a problem for the computer too. Thanks again, fingers crossed that you'll tell me you can print your things from a pdf file. 🤞

You’d have to create a Canvas 4.25x5.5 design your card export the file or save to desktop. Create another canvas letter size 8.5x11. Then import the designed image, duplicate put one card on right top other image right bottom. The left use of the card just input text of your business on top left bottom. Be sure to duplicate so you have one on top and one on bottom. Then print, cut and fold

Hello! Do you mind linking the products used in your video? Printer, cello bags, trimmer/scorer, etc.! Also, what size cello bags and envelopes do you order when doing a 4.25x5.5” card?

I just print in RGB but definitely create the canvas and set it to the cmyk instead. It actually works either way but maybe cmyk is better! 😊❤️

I am really new to card making and this is one of the best videos so far. With that iPad can you print from it instead of using a laptop?
@AmandaHoldenDesigns3 жыл бұрын
Hi!!! Thank you so much! That’s amazing! And yes it is totally possible to do with iPad. Just use same dimensions used on pixelmator and Apply to iPad. If your printer has an app, download that too.

hi! I'm just starter Etsy seller and my cost of printing is too much! so I've been searching printer and more and came to ur video! this helps me a lot!! I have bunch of list to purchase from amazon and it's completely perfect guide for my starting step! Thanks!! are you using canon Pixma -100?
@AmandaHoldenDesigns4 жыл бұрын
Hi!! Yes, it can be costly! Lol the pixma 100 is a good printer but you just need to make sure you are using the proper paper for it to work. It didn’t work for me because I used a different kind of paper. Kind of wish I did more research because it does print nicely. I use a pixma that’s basically a photo printer. As long as you use the rear feeder you should be fine. Glad this video helped you! ❤️🥰

This was such an amazing video and gave me a lot of information so thank you! I was wondering if you sell your cards with envelopes? And if you do how do you find envelopes that fit your cards?
@AmandaHoldenDesigns4 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! I’m so glad you found it helpful! I do sell them with envelopes. You can basically look up any size envelopes on amazon. They have a ton of different colors and sizes. You just need to know what size your cards will be. 😊❤️

@AmandaHoldenDesigns4 жыл бұрын
Hi! It’s just a program basically similar to illustrator with a one time purchase. you can definitely make a bunch of graphic designs with it and templates. Affinity designer is also a really good one because you can draw in vector using the affinity designer app!

lina xavier da moura Hi! Any Canon Pixma will work. As long as it has a feeder in the back. I use off brand ink to save on costs and it still prints beautifully! Good luck!
