As always, very instructive and good explanations. The step by step is clear and really looks much neat than the finish with the serge. Thank you Nathalie and Ira. Bless you!

It looks so good! From both sides. In USA, we call the last line of stitching between the band and the skirt, stitch in the ditch. TFS!

What kind of interfacing do you use for the waistband? Could you please make a video about the different kinds of interfacing and what do you use them for?
@GlobalFashionWorkshop3 жыл бұрын
For the waistband med-weight fusible interfacing is usually used. If your fabric is very delicate then lightweight interfacing can be used.

Thank you very much for these videos. They are really of great help to us. Please can you teach us how to cut waistbands, both straight and curved waistbands? Thank you in anticipation.
@GlobalFashionWorkshop3 жыл бұрын
Hello. A waistband should be cut along the grain that is less stretchy, because you don’t want the waistband to stretch when you wear your garment. We shape a waistband using a steam iron, as it is shown in this video.
