Thank you for the excellent, clear, tutorial! I've been wondering about arms, and wood ball sizes. To those telling her to smile, 🙄😒😂 good grief, mind your own attitudes! She's very pleasant. & There are articles online detailing what's wrong with telling women and girls to smile 24/7, 365, not to mention movie reviews calling a character who won't quit smiling non-stop, sappy or dingy. You control your face, she'll control hers. It's not a comedy vid, you goofballs. If you're scared of someone taking a project seriously, perhaps counselling is a plan. Non sapere che pesce pigliare. 😉😂

You need to reinforce your rubber band with twine or something because it will deteriorate over time and the whole thing will come apart.

You could place the sock over the jar opening turn it over and fill the sock, no spill , no funnel. :)
@celinalaverty4926

I was thrilled to see the funnel. I paused the video to immediately look in the description box because many DIYers list perhaps where you can buy it... But, its not even in the list! :-(

question for anyone - When you store the gnome, does the rice absorb moisture?

Nope but of course don't leave anything made of cloth anywhere damp, anyway. If you're concerned about excess humidity much of the year, several of those silica packets in multi-vitamins or silica beads from a floral supply or crafts store for drying flowers, in a little sachet bag (or sew a rectangular woven cotton muslin bag, fill, pin, sew closed) can help bc it's made to absorb moisture. Put it in a box together when you store this with your ornaments. And, indoors not in a shed if you live somewhere hot bc heat after awhile messes with the rubber band. In an arid hot climate I'd tie the sock ends with embroidery floss or string bc of that.

@@wildwoodsgirl1706 thanks, those are good suggestions. I've had a few salt and flour ornaments made by the kids get ruined in summer by the humidity!

I use glass floral beads, the half ones, from DT. I am afraid to use rice or beans because it can attract mice.

It’s really hard to see what you’re doing as the camera is pointing at the back of the gnome/you as you work on us. It would be really helpful if you had a camera view that showed what you were working on as you were working on it.

My hats sit on top of the head like that and I don't like it , I think they look really cute with it bigger and further down on the head. This is what frustrates me . Cute little guy just don't like the hat .
