iphie ,well-done! please what is the standard measurement for a kids bonnet. I used your measurment for adult and it turned out great
@IPHIEANI6 жыл бұрын
Dedoyin Onitolo thank you. Honestly I don’t know the stands d measurement for kids bonnet, but I would measure the child’s head to get the measurements I want. So take longitudinal measurements ( from the forehead to the nape of the neck) and take measurements from ear to ear... whatever you get is what you should measure out on your fabric (don’t forget to add some allowance suitable for the age of the child). . I hope this explanation helps...

@@Philtabit49 Thanks! I have a big head, I wonder if I should subtract 2" for customers.
@Philtabit495 жыл бұрын
@@Tigeabee Maybe but u don't want it to be tight. The average head circumference is 22" to 22.5". For small heads use 21.5". Use 23"- 23.5" for large heads. In each case, I would still subtract 1".

I have gotten the measurement but am not getting the circle when I cut. What can I do please?
@IPHIEANI6 жыл бұрын
Thelma Amarachi so fold fabric twice(making a square shape) and then create an arc and cut it ( you will have a cone shaped now)When you you open the fabric, you’d see a circle ⭕️... then start the sewing..... Sis I advice you watch the video as many times as you can (you can pause also, to help you follow and understand accordingly).. everything I’m explaining to you now is there.... let me know if you’re stuck

how much is this satin fabric? Is it real satin? Sometimes I confuse satin with silk.
@IPHIEANI6 жыл бұрын
Tut Secret I’m afraid , I don’t know how much it’s sold for. Silk and satin are both different . Just ask at the fabric store for guidance when choosing.
@sshwinggg4 жыл бұрын
Silk is a natural fibre created from silk moths, it is the strongest natural fibre on this planet. Satin on the other hand is a man made /polyester fibre but refers to the method used to weave it. Both types depend on how they are woven to create the best fabric for creating bonnets. For silk it would be called “charmeuse” and it’s very smooth, whereas polyester woven nice and smooth is then called satin. Silk being a natural fibre is much better for your skin, as it is very breathable and soothing at the same time. Satin being made from a polyester base is not as good. Think of it as polyester strands being super thin strands of plastic that are then woven into a fabric. This can create skin issues if not kept clean. However since silk can cost easily 10x as much as satin the main reason for purchasing satin over silk is simply straight up affordability.
