I too use to make my doll clothes with socks. Of course that was about 55 years ago. I would take my dads socks to make their pants, my mom was a seamstress so I used all the tricks of the trade to have great doll clothes. I love how you explain what you're doing. Very educational.

I love the idea of using socks to make some cute doll dresses. I can't sew anything good I never been taught how to sew. I could ask my grandma if she can teach me. I actually did make a cute little sock dress for my baby bop figure and i just cut holes for the head, arms and her tail. I included a belt to tie it together and color it to make it cuter. It is my attempt but it does look adorable on her.

I made a mini off the shoulder top and matching skirt using socks. The first time I did it came out okay and then I thought, would it be nice to make a dress using sock? Such great tutorials and such patience. It is so good. I've done sock dress for Barbies, and I've added material to make fully bottoms to dress, but these are such cute styles and so easy to try to make. Love it. Gonna try them. My grandbaby is 6 and I have loads of socks.

I want to make a outfit for my 1/4 BJD but it'd have to be long sleeved due to dye transfer and that's too much for me to do so I'll probably settle for a outfit that my smaller 1/6 one can wear instead. With my smaller one I don't have to worry about hiding anything like dye transferring because there's none on that doll. The hard part is finding a new hair clip to fill the spot where one is currently since there's a tiny bit less hair there which exposing part of the head. These were factory ones that get mass produced and put on Amazon so I'm just glad I can even have a pretty good doll for how cheap they were.
