Yes, please, please, please make more videos. I clicked on this video because of the title and almost immediately subscribed because of how hilarious your commentary was. Thank you so much for not taking things so seriously. It made watching your video so much more fun and I learned how to make a chair for my fairy garden that will always remind me of the fun I had learning how to make it. Thank you again, I haven't laughed so hard in so long. I wish you a life that is long and filled with joy and laughter always.

That was such a lovely comment, I've read and reread it about 40 times now. How sweet of you that you found time to comment and say such profoundly and genuinely heart warming words. I thank you sincerely and wish nothing but love and laughter for the rest of your days 🙂 As for another video, I filmed one on how to make a table that goes nicely with the chairs and then accidentally deleted it because I'm good at doing things that are devastatingly stupid at times. When I have the time I will definitely refilm it! Your comment has motivated the ever loving heck out of me!

When I watch or read instructions and they are edited to be done perfectly the first time or everytime, well, it 's dis heartening. Your honest, fun approach is the most encouraging video I have seen. Very well done, Thank you.

@nessiemonstercrafts2 жыл бұрын
I'm a little ADD when it comes to crafts, I just cant stick to one lol. I love creating miniatures, and painting, sewing, knitting, making jewellery... the list goes on. I'm currently in the middle of making a shadow box, as well as a commission to make miniature replicas of wooden garden chairs to go with someone's bonsai tree (hence discovering your video while looking for construction techniques that might be useful)

Oh wow it sounds like you are an amazing, creative person! I love the idea of a little chair next to a bansai, that sounds lovely.
@magicintheforestwastaken2 жыл бұрын
Also ive been super interested in shadow boxes lately. Do you find it difficult to make them? I was thinking of making a little forest scene with a chair in it.
@nessiemonstercrafts2 жыл бұрын
@@magicintheforestwastaken They are simpler than you might think! I can't find the KZbin video that I saw on how to make them but basically you get a picture frame, nothing expensive, and some foam board. Take the back off the picture frame, and the little metal bits that hold the back in the frame (you wont need them and they just get in the way later on). Cut a piece of foam board the same size as the back piece that you took out of the frame, and then cut strips any depth you want to fit across the top, bottom and sides of the back board. Glue the foam board pieces together to form an open fronted box, hot glue works really well. Then you can paint it and decorate it however you want before gluing the box you made into the back of the picture frame. You could use those tiny seed lights to light up your forest scene to enhance that magical feel to it and have the battery pack just attached to the outside behind the shadow box. I can just picture it now, all mossy, maybe a few pebbles, a chair and leaves...So cool! I hope you do it!

@@magicintheforestwastaken yes this country is very beautiful and magical if you have a childlike mind 'like I do, I love all things magical and mystical ' hence why I came across your video. I want to add to my faerie garden for my grandkids and show them how to make things from the gift mother nature gave us 🙏 I've seen some stunning places here not near as much as id like to but I will go to more places this year 🙏 like the saying goes, if it's under your nose you take it for granted... We have so much beauty we just need to open our eyes more to see the little things in life are precious..

It's so true! My mind was always on far off, exotic places and I never really gave a thought to the beautiful area around me. Since ive been walking everyday I've been noticing such beauty in the Australian forests. Wild, untamed beauty with a ruggedness that is baked into it by a million hot summers. I'm glad you're going to see more of your beautiful emerald land. So much magic and lore in your part of the world, I imagine you would be able to smell the fairytales in the air.

@@magicintheforestwastaken you have a beautiful country too. I only spent a month in Melbourne some years ago visiting my family . We visited the blue mountains and that was breath taking. One day please God Id like to go back with my family/grandkids. There is genuinely something so sweet and cute about teeny, tiny furniture. I've started branching out (a little tree humour there) into other furniture as well. The success rate of those pieces vary wildly from poor to slightly above poor but actually just as poor if I'm being honest.

@@silverpromidi I used to think that my grandad lived a lonely isolated life towards the end but I realise now that he engineered things to be that way. He spent time where he wanted to, with his wife, with his dog, fishing and in nature. As I get older I can see the wisdom in that, spend time where you want to, not where you are expected to. You're near the coast? That sounds amazing, my mum is a coast girl. She loves the beach and lives for the ocean. I have to admit I'm not really a coast person but I certainly marvel at it's grandeur and it's endless beauty. Also sorry about that last comment, I accidentally sent it from my wife's KZbin account 😣
