I like how you fold under the lip of the bottom of the pocket. This makes for a stiffer tube and creates a smooth edge that a plant branch won't saw itself off with when the wind moves it.

You could easley file the edges with a rasp but ya it seem just as easy to roll the edge.👍

I made my rendition of the quad station and now moving into final copy; additionally I will be 3d printing my net cups for lengths as well as my seat for the cups. Resourcing materials ideas; if you go onto a construction project; 3’ to 4’ often is wasted and they end up in the garbage piles… I find that Canadian pvc pipe is much thicker and will split even with adequate heating for reaming. I will be developing a method that only requires a stencil and hole cut due to thickness of pipe due to frost line requirements

So, once your plants get more mature, how many times a day are you adding more water? I have a rail system with around 70 plants (lettuce/kale/Swiss chard) and on warm days, it can go through 4 gallons of water. I use a 17 gallon tote for my res. I don’t see how this thing can keep enough water in it without constant refilling. Plus, it’s all exposed so the water temps would rise when in direct sunlight.

Can you tell me why you using a coupling cant you just take the 4" pipe straight through to the elbow?
@XaYaZaZa
@XaYaZaZa 2 жыл бұрын
You can, but having the coupling allows you to remove a tower and clean inside easier

You need to figure out where to put a reservoir, where the pipes will drain to and how you will distribute the water, I have to add about 2 -4 gallons a day to mine (tomatoes and cucumber). A system this size will be very thirsty. Like the idea

instead of 90s on the center 2 up rights, you should just have used tee's. This would give you more water capacity and not made any difference to the look.
