Great video! That bone you are talking about on the tail fan, I use a wire cutter. Works great.

Looks good I stopped saving the Fans and just keep Beards and Spurs. I like the String and Bead for the Beard and Spur enjoyed it

If I get one this spring hunt or fall I'll have to give this a shot it's male only during spring hunt here in Wisconsin. I only got my first turkey last year and it was a younger hen.

Is one of those fans and beards Jareds that he shot? I never realized how pretty turkey feathers are 😊

Leave the cartridge knuckle! Clean as much meat off as possible , get a CLOTHES HANGER THAT HAS THE CLIP ON EACH SIDE. SPREAD THE FAN , CLIP EACH END ON THE CLOTHES HANGER, THEN PUT BORAX OR SALT ON THE EXPOSED FLESH SIDE OF THE FAN AND SIMPLY HANG IN A COOL DRY. PLACE. Wait few weeks and shake off the BORAX or Salt AND hang any way want. Much simpler 🤷♂️

One question I do have is if it’s necessary to put the fan/ beard in the freezer? If so how long minimum?
@dallaswinters13506 ай бұрын
if you can't get to it right after garvest, yes I'd put it in the freezer. it's just to not have it spoil before you can get to it.

I really enjoyed this. I often wondered how people mounted these parts of the turkey. This was very interesting.
