Unbelievable, it works. Just a few tries with both paper clips and it opened!! Now, time to repair the slight door frame and paint damage caused by trying to open it through the faceplate, latch bolt and door frame. Thanks!!

So i used the method for the actual lock, and it took me like half an hour. At some point, i actually unlocked the door, but i didn't notice, so i just kept on trying pointlessly. I finally gave up, and tried the door handle for some reason, and it ACTUALLY OPENED UP. The relief.

I think its important to mention that the paper clips need to be thick. I have thin type of paper clips that did not work. They kept twisting themselves (I tried for about a good 1hr). Then i tried the butter knife technique and opened the door. And yes my door trim did get mangled a bit but whatever man. Atleast the nightmare is over

I was able to get a filing cabinet open thanks to this. Similar sized lock. I did this using smaller paper clips by double folding it, and it took me just under a minute unlock it. Super satisfying... Lol.

My room door has a key hole like the garage door lock but not the twist kind of inner lock, it has a push button inner lock. Will it works the same?

Not quite, but I know how to pick that one as well. It's even easier. Straighten one end of a paperclip out, stick it in the keyhole, feel around for a surface that kind of forces you to pull back on the paperclip. Push against that surface. You should be able to pop the pushbutton lock just like that. Wish I had one to show you how to do it!!!

My bedroom doors actually do not require paperclips to unlock. I could just use a coin because it's the single slot type lock that showed in the vid. Depends on your lock.

I finally got it open after taking the door off the hinges and wiggling a butter knife against the latch for 3 dang hours until I was able to get it to pull back. I got lucky, though.
