Can you use super glue ? Or do you need shoe glue? Nice work

Shoe glue and super glue are the same and you can use it either of the two.

hello.. my idler wheel's rubber becoming hard like plastic. mine is columbia gp3.. and also got flat spot on it. coz its rubber become hard, it slipped the plastic not gripping anymore and make the record sound 'swinging'.. any suggestion to the problem? thx before..

If all parts of the rubber wheel become hard it is beyond repairable. If the hard spot is only on the side that connects to the motor pulley you can repair by sanding the hard spot using a lathe or electric drill. If the idler wheel has a minor flat spot it has a remedy but if it is too many flat spot or deep flat spot you need to replace your idler wheel.

@@yasirhasby7695 sometimes , the rubber softens by keeping it in boiled water for 15/20 minutes.

I think it's not the the pulley maybe the motor grommet rubber. Sometimes this rubber melts or shrink then it can affect the rotation of the pulley and the idler wheel rubber. Second check your idler wheel this idler wheel rubber can cause the variation of speed due to rubber develops a flat spot, shrink, melt or become hard.

@@subhasisdas8021 Clean the pulley it can help too. Sometimes dust and the wear and tear of the rubber wheel will accumulate in the pulley if you see the pulley with a black particles remove it by using lacquer thinner or alcohol. This can caused a high rpm of your turntable.

Yes but you can use this technique if it is not a severe flat spot. Just a minor flat spot will do.
