@MILTON_STONE3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! You can rent a plate compactor at Home Depot or any other tool rental place. You pass it over your pavers once you apply your polymer sand (before you sweep and wet it). No you didn’t miss it.. I was speaking with the clients when that was being done lol sorry! 🤷🏻♂️

Do you also seal the pavers with a water-based sealant? I did a repair like this last summer for the very first time and not sure if it was even necessary to seal it.
@MILTON_STONE3 жыл бұрын
Hi Tony! No, we do not seal it.. it’s not necessary to seal your pavers in order to accomplish a successful repair. A sealer is mainly applied to help maintain the original colour of your pavers so that it won’t fade in time due to the sun beating on it it is also used to protect it from car oil or wine stains by not allowing it to penetrate into your pavers. Many also choose to seal pavers for the wet-look aspect of it. Hope that helps and if you have any other questions 😊 thanks for watching our video and for taking the time to leave a comment! 👍🏻

I have paver stones that have been drenched in fluids (oil) from vehicles over a few years. Can those stones be saved or am I better off replacing them?
@MILTON_STONE2 жыл бұрын
Buy a degreaser from Home Depot and try to scrub your pavers. Do it one or two pavers to see if it works, if it doesn’t work then you’ll need new pavers. Hope that helps. And sorry for the late response

If you take the concrete saw and cut along the edge way easier ,listen get yourself a hand tamper because you must pack that screeing k so it doesn't sink again and cut a jig using a piece of 2x4 😊

I have paver patio under a raised deck (pavers similar to what is in this video). I need to remove the pavers around one of the columns holding up the deck. Can it be done without damaging any of the pavers? If so, how can it be done & what tools are needed?
@MILTON_STONE3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delay in responding! Yes, it can definitely be done and should be fairly easily to do so. You will need a flat head screwdriver or scraper to remove the polymer sand that has hardened within the joints (if you have any).. start removing your pavers by hand. If you require more details just let us know. 😊 Hope this helps with your question and sorry once again for the late response.
@davidcohen16442 жыл бұрын
Great video! I have a bunch of loose pavers I need to fix. What do you recommend for brick pavers that were installed on top of tiles? Can I just fill in the gaps with polymeric sand or do I need an adhesive first to stick the pavers to the tile?
@MILTON_STONE2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, and great question! To answer that question - I would not recommend installing pavers over tiles… I would remove the tiles first. Yes, you can use polymeric sand. Unless you have mortar at the moment, then just mortar it, but if not, sand is fine. If I misunderstood your question and you meant “resurfacing” existing concrete floors - I still recommend to remove the tiles and I’d recommend the Venetian by Techo-Bloc. It comes in a variety of colors, Slate, Polished or Smooth textures, and backed by a Lifetime Warranty. The BLU by Techo-Bloc is also a wonderful product. Check it out at www.techo-bloc.com 👍🏼 Hope this helps. 😊 Thanks for watching!

No expert needed if it’s only to repair a small area like this one. This is why we recommended to place the pavers on the side in the same pattern that it was removed so that they go back in the same way without a problem. Anyone who is handy can do this for themselves. 😊 no need to pay an expert for this.

@MILTON_STONE Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment James - That’s a great question! Yes you do. Because the driveway is already sloped towards the street, you want to make sure you’re level side to side. When you look at your pavers they should look level with a slope towards wherever you want the water to go. This is a repair so we can’t really change the slope because your bound by the pavers on the sides. Hopefully this makes sense to you lol 😂 thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment! 🦾
