I used black liquid shoe polish on a stroller to dye it all black. Took a few applications but looked great .didnt come off or stain clothes .and only cost a couple of pounds.

I'm trying to change a lime green, to black, will probably look into just finding some material to cover and sew over. Do you think it would work over the green or just come out strange?

Once it dries, it’s permanent and it doesn’t stain, even though it dries within an hour, it actually takes about 6 days for the paint to fully saturate and dry. My daughter was wearing white in about 3 days and no stains.

How much paint did u use ? Was the 32oz can big enough? Thank you

Should be enough, since you are gonna dilute it with some water. I got the small can of the chalkboard paint and I had half of paint left. Also, it’s not a lot of fabric you will be covering(painting) on a stroller. Hope this help.💕

Since it’s odorless, i did work inside near windows. This stuff dries quickly also.It is recommended to let it dry for 3 days, I also made sure stroller was in an area where the kids didn’t go and touch it.

The blackboard paint I used is latex, and this paint is holding on pretty well, once it dries it’s not coming off. I have taken my stroller under the rain already and nothing I even forgot that I had painted. Other fabric and leather paints that are used are either latex or acrylic paints and they are both made from acrylic resins only that one is more water base(latex) than the other.This paint is not washing off after it dries and once dry is safe for children and that’s the reason why I ended up with it. Hope this helps.😁(I have a next video that I will be changing a leather couch from brownish to black.....with this same paint)

The fabric is naturally stiff, I have not washed it but it’s really not noticeable. I will let you know when I do wash it. Thanks!😀

Karina Avechuco After it dries make sure you give it about 6 days, I started using mine less than that. The colour locks in once you let it dry and it becomes stain resistant. It doesn’t stain, my kids wear white and I’ve been caught in the rain and the colour doesn’t even come off. My kids spilled yogurt in the stroller and I washed it with soap and water and still paint is intact. Hope this helps. (It’s as if this was the way the stroller came straight from the store). 👍😀

I just checked the same brand for the chalkboard paint and it says warning for California prop 65

Hi hun, This product is waterbase it’s latex, I even used water to spread it evenly, even though there is chemicals involved, the product says non-toxic when dry. I made sure my kids didn’t touch product while wet, It is also odourless. Once it dries it should be safe.But I also understand that prop 65 in California, this is safety measure the country has installed. I would recommend something with fabric dye’s instead, the only thing it’s a longer process, it takes days before you add more layers. I watched a video on KZbin in changing the colour of a stroller by dying the fabric. You could check that one out. The only thing is that it’s a longer process and that’s the reason why I chose a different approach.All the best!😁

I wish I would’ve known this! I neglected My single city select stroller I bought for my daughter once we had another baby and got a double stroller. I left the city select in the patio and it completely faded and I gave away my $400 stroller for $40! I only used the stroller for less than a year too and it was in good condition 💔

I’ve searched everywhere to find out different ideas to change the fabric on a stroller without actually removing fabric, I’ve seen people use sprays and dyes but I chose a different approach, this actually worked for me. I would definitely recommend doing a bit of homework before trying anything specially when you have kids. If anybody knows any other ideas how to change the colour on the fabric I would love to know. If i find something else I will post or make a new video.Thanks for sharing your comments, all the best.😁💕
