Yes, this is a great way to do this. I got a recipe very similar about 6 months ago from another African Queen here. I use coconut milk instead of water. Yours in this video looks so edible! 👌🏽 🌹

@@OceNatural I always add a food grade preservative such as Germaben ii or Phenonip. 🌹

@@CougarLyfe How long does your lotion last with your preservative ?

@@OceNatural it lasts just the same time as if one purchased it out of a store. Research food grade preservative! Vitamin E isn’t for long term in preventing bacteria. I have homemade Papaya and Carrot oil in my shelf from a year ago, I live the hot state of Florida. ☀️

@@CougarLyfe vitamin E isn’t a preservative it only helps to stop your oil from going rancid . I like to use a broad spectrum preservative as well in my skincare products . Usually with cosmetic formulations the powder (coconut milk) would be a preferred option than the fresh coconut milk. I will definitely try making a lotion/cream with coconut milk sounds so good .

LOVELY ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ should the mixer touch the base of the beaker while mixing for the first 2 mins?? Or should it be above the surface level?? P.s because alot of times u guys always say not to let air enter...

Thank you . I tap my blender to loosen any bubbles before mixing . It touches the base of the beaker but I tip my blender at an angle

Why is the glycerin at 10%? I usually use it at 3% to make a thick Shea body cream. Just wanted to understand the reasoning behind it. Wouldn’t it come out more sticky?

For a thinner consistency you would adjust the emulsifying wax and water content. You can use less emulsifying wax and increase the water %
