I never considered a scooter until I saw your channel. Only considering a electric bike but you are showing me the light . I have to go 10 miles to the rental van Uhaul dealer and a scooter may be just the ticket Small enough to fit in the van easily. I could switch out the batteries once I drive the van back to my house if need be for my return trip on the scooter after dropping of the rental van. Yea, uh hum, yea.

My controller is also very small. I will probably get a 52 volt battery and the same controller u purchased. My bike maxes out at 18 mph. It would kill me to c u blow by me with your hair on fire at 25-30 mph on a scooter.

Its more about the bms on the battery and your controller should always match battery voltage. The controller is not meant for 80v as it is 72v. You are correct that is just over 20 amps but the frequency might also be off. To sum it up Start with matching controller voltage and battery, than go under amperage as the bms might be turning off before hand, not likely an issue with frequency but possible. Could possibly be the board in the motor limiting to 10amps or motor windings shorting due to not being built to handle such amps or voltage. Best shot is prob to get a new bms ngl

No, doesn't work that way, if you get a bigger battery such as 60v with a 1200w controller, you would get up to maybe 45 mph top speed and it would be quick.. If you did a 72v upgrade it would hit 60 mph easily.

Any clue as to the issue or would it be a faulty controller any help appreciated I want my scooter to fly also lol
