wow, I'm so glad I stumbled across your video. That was such an in-depth teaching I have ever seen. I'm a new crafter and I saw a girl in New Orleans do some birds and put them on cans and flowerpots and was in love. I'm just starting to use some of the IOD transfers and I hope to go to stamps and molds later. Thank you for this tutorial video.

I also stumbled across yr video. And l'm giving a write-up below, how l found it most satisfying! By the way, nobody has given so much in-depth help as you! On the rim or lip on the edge of each design on the pad: I believe IOD are the better moulds to work with: I haven't worked with IOD AIR DRY CLAY yet, l'm about to test it. I started first to test local clays: Problem was getting them out of the moulds. l had to pry them with my fingers. l would distort the design as my fingers were too large & the clay too soft, then l tried to pick-out with various items... knife.. wooden chopstick etc.. l ended up distorting them further: I tried patching-up, kinda worked, after much time consuming & frustrating: Question? Now are my moulds wrong or the clay: I need to experiment? If you look at the lady's hands, there is no clay residue left: Using IOD, that tells me it's a superior clay: What l like about this video, how much explanation is given by this speaker how to handle the clay in the moulding process : AND the mistakes she makes are reassuring and a confidence builder: And her work is thorough! Thank you.. ▪︎Tip: Never use a metal spatula or anything METAL to scrap and even out the clay in the bed of the design: why.. over time you damage the mould: and wear away the safety rim or the lip on the edge of the designs.

Hi, I just saw your comment and I thought I'd pass on a good tip. If you watch the IOD sisters you'll see that they always brush their moulds with cornstarch because it stops the clay from sticking to the mould. I always do the same thing and it works really well, so I hope this helps you with your moulds. I also use Das Air Dry Clay sometimes, which is cheaper than the IOD Clay, but still really good to use with the IOD moulds. It's available from Amazon and most craft shops, and it comes in 500gm and 1kilo packs, in white, terracotta or grey. Although the colour doesn't really matter because you can paint over it with acrylic or chalk paint. Love from Amanda in Australia

@@PennysPorch Yes Penny i have seen moulds from Zuri, I've email them explaining I have difficultly ordering, but they don't want to help me place an order, They have some beautiful moulds. I need to know the canadain currency and shipping when I order. Unfortunately when I place My order. That doesn't happen. So I haven't been able to place an order. I guess its me? They sent me an e mail mentioning they have plans to open a store in the fall, here in Canada. And that they have lots of canadains who order. This is nice to hear, but doesn't help me now. Its really frustrating Some times. Because of your your Awesome videos Penny, I'm extremely excited to buy the IOD Moulds ., thank you so much
