Thanks so much for this!!! I can not believe the results and how easy it was. I started with a pair of earrings and an hour later everything silver in the house is gleaming!

Nice video but would this be affective on taking away Tarnish on Gold plated/Alloy Jewlery by any chance?

Love this formula, can't wait to try it. Is it safe for opals and pearls? I make alot of jewelry. What should you not use it on? Thanks!

You can do this with ammonia..let it sit for 5 mins then rinse with hot water ,I’m 39 and we always did this for years no tarnishing or fading and it comes out bright and shiny

What's the foil for?🙄
@SaySayDIY Жыл бұрын
The foil along with other ingredients work together to remove tarnishes without damaging the metal.
@levietanh5146 Жыл бұрын
It is electrochemistry. Technically, the foil represents the material that absorbs the dirt from the jewelry. The mixture of salt, detergent and water is kind of a dielectric that condition the reaction between the foil and jewelry.
@FrankGutowski-ls8jt9 ай бұрын
@@levietanh5146 Wrong. Dielectric is an insulator. The salty water serves as a conductor, an electrolyte.

Don't recommend a toothbrush. Precious metals tend to be soft and scratch easily. Especially gold.

So microfiber cloth?

Use an art paint brush with soft bristles. You can also use denture tablets dissolved. I break one in half and use a little desert bowl and clean a few items soaking them half a day or over night. The bubbling will clean all kinds of gunk off. Rinse and dry with lint free tea towel or microfiber cloth. Works great!
