DIY Kayak Emergency Repair Kit

Thanks for this! I work with a small kayak company in Santa Cruz, CA, and am putting together a similar emergency repair kit. Perhaps it would be helpful to list the items by function, and go into a bit more detail for more expensive items without great substitutes. In my case, specifically, I'm trying to decide on an ideal waterproof container for the whole thing, and curious about the two non-standard lighters you include.

Thank you for watching! That’s a good idea on the list. You can find lighters like the ones I shared if you search on Amazon for torch lighters or cigar lighters. I think the container was from Walmart. I just keep this lot in my dry bag that always goes with me when I kayak. I also recommend that people do a little plastic welding practice. You need to be careful you don’t burn a hole in your kayak and make things worse.

I wonder if a roll of flex seal tape would work
