I've seen some comments saying they curl in the oven. That may happen sometimes depending on your oven. If that happens, leave it in the oven for a shorter time and keep an eye on it. Take it out once you notice it stops shrinking or if you notice it's beginning to curl. After taking it out of the oven, flattening it with something flat is important so that it doesn't curl when cooling down too ~

Nice DIY! But keep in mind guys, to clean the interior of the oven after creating such keychains. The used polymer in the number 6 recycling sign is called polystyrene, which should be harmless to living organisms, but it might be contaminated with other plastics and therefore these fumes might end up being toxic and adhere to the interior of the oven. So a bit of cleaning should be the way to go to stay extra safe from food poisoning or anything similar. But overall it should be almost pure and harmless. Just stay safe :)

@@inumakistoes sorry late response: number 5 will most likely not work properly, since it’s Polypropylene it might shrink down a bit but it could also go too far and become a little puddle of goo, since it melts at a much lower temperature. There should be no toxic fumes as long as you stay very much below 200 degrees C. Polypropylene also melts at 160 degrees C already so you should try to stay in between 160 and 200 degrees C. Honestly if I were you I would try it out with a little piece at those temps and see what happens before you put in too much effort :?

No it’s fine to do and if you don’t trust making your own you can buy paper specially for this but it would be cheaper to find your own plastic maybe easier but you can alway just set your oven on a high heat and just let it run without stuff in there to kill the stuff but the oven has such a high heat anyway there shouldn’t be much germs or stuff
