That is sweet. For a knife project, do you think you could make the blade from a file, the handle from pallet wood, the pins from bolts, and the sheath from a used handbag, utilising some of the clasps from the bag? That would be cool to see.

Hassan, why do you show us the chemicals for a split second and don't let us see what it says??? If you didn't make this sheath so fast without any narration, your video would be great, but being in a hurry because you know how to make doesn't help people to learn. FAIL!

When I don't put a welt on my sheaths, like for filet knives because fishermen tend to prefer their sheaths to be slim. I put five solid brass rivets along the side and a matching solid brass snap fastener. But I never send a knife with a sheath and no protection for my threads as that is a failure waiting to happen if the knife gets used much.

It's an extra piece of leather between the front and back, along the stitch line. It helps to protect the stitching from the blade edge while putting it into and removing it from the sheath.

Eddings brand , but i guess this video is from what once was known as Europe. in the US there are long nosed mechanical pencils sold by woodcraft and made in germany for about 12 or 15 bucks, and home despot also sell a knock off for about 5 pesos , i dont remember the brand but they are of brigth green color, look for them in the section where they keep the lumber crayons.

For the finish and greyish color inside the fibers (hard to tell in the video), it should be chrome tan leather, it is not the best option if you want to wet shape, apply colors, or hand stamp. It is better to use vegetable tan leather, i assume Habu doesn't knows the difference or he is working on a tight budget and works with what he can find. I dont want to discredit what for sure its a hard and good work, but the leatherwork has room for improvements, there is no welt, the sewing technique, the chosen leather, anyway, he is for sure multi talented and not afraid of experimenting, thats is a big advantage in the learning process. The end result looks very good.

Maybe an oportunity to get material.
