I thought her damaging braids were bigger and heavier. I can understand it would be concerning since her edges are improving so much. I will say I recently had my hair braided and when I tell you the braider was so gentle, no tugging, no tension I was afraid the braids would be falling out before I got home and she left my edges out but they stayed in tact and I didn’t have any tension at all!

@@tamithecreatorso are you going to keep getting the shots for edges? Was it a permanent thing or is it something you have to do to keep them. I know you said she gave you some cream or something? What is it like now. I’m asking bc I’m considering going to the dermatologist here is Louisiana.

How often do you blow dry your hair? I think I’ve messed up this time with this heat spray that didn’t help protect the hair but more so fry it. 😕 what’s your tips on rehydrating 4c hair
@tamithecreator8 күн бұрын
I usually wash my hair, blow dry with color wow heat protectant and braid my hair. I was my hair in the braids every 2 weeks then I take my braids out after 3 washes aka 6 weeks. So I only blow dry when its time do a braid down again. To rehydrate, I use a moisturizing shampoo/conditioner then deep condition. I mist my scalp, then grease my scalp and lock it all in with a light leave in. I moisturize every 2-3 days as needed. I hope this helps and just know it takes time. I've had heat damage before and it takes a while for hair to take in moisture again.

I think you did a fantastic job, the braids look beautiful. If you can do it yourself, save your money. I love braids but now, I can't sit for that long.

@BijinMCMXC10 күн бұрын
Why are you being so dramatic?? There’s nothing wrong with braids w extensions. The problem is when they are done way too tight. That’s less of an issue when you do them yourself. No need to swear off braids for life. But you can lose your edges braiding your own hair too tight with no added hair. You can lose your edges from too tight ponytails. It’s all about keeping your hair moisturized and not subjecting it to too much tension. But I think Tami learned from losing her edges and takes much better care of her hair now. I commend her and it came out real cute.
