+Kat Nicole Hey Kat! Hmmm if you don't want to use my pattern which all you would have to do is alter it a bit for a better fit, I would suggest tracing a skirt that you already have in your closet that fits well. Add 1/2" seam allowance to your tracing afterwards, if your putting in a zipper have the seam allowance be 1" in that area. Like if you had a basic body con skirt from forever 21, that could be your base pattern. Or I could make beginner pattern making videos to help?

Thank you for posting this your skirt looks lovely! I just wanted to ask if it were to be possible to cut the front skirt in one part instead of three like you did in the video and just cut slits? Is there a reason you cut the front skirt out to be thee parts?

Hey I did it for design aesthetic purposes only really lol A lot of skirts and pants designs I saw had that type of finishing so I wanted to make mine like that. Also it made it easier to hide the front waist darts and finish the cut out edges since it had seam allowance on it to fold over. But it is possible to cut the skirt in one piece with waist darts and the Cut out triangle slits! I’m just extra lol
