Helpful pro tip, when turning out your coat/fancy dresses, sew your sleeve hem from the inside first before attaching facings, then leave a gap in your lining sleeve to turn everything right side out. Topstitch your sleeve lining together, no one will ever see inside your sleeve where you topstiched it toegther. **This is how all coats are made in factories** Hope this made sense and helpful for someone 😸

Could you please explain this technique? I just don't understand, from your first sentence. What do you mean "turning out" a coat or fancy dress? What do you mean to sew the sleeve hem from the inside, first-- where else would you sew it?! You generally don't have facings in sleeves. . .I don't get what you mean before attaching facings. I think I get what you mean to leave a gap in the sleeve lining-- so you can pull the public side fabric through it. What do you mean to "topstitch your sleeve lining together", together with what? With all the upvotes, I must be the only one not getting this, but I am just baffled. TIA.

@@amierichan1428they are probably describing “bagging a lining. You sew most of the seam and flip the item back around through a hole. Not my favorite as you are building shape into a garment and then wrestle is through a six inch hole. You should be able to find videos on it. Both Kittenish Behavior and Nicole Rudolph have shown it. Nicole, it was her pirate waistcoat for a ren faire. Kittenish, just search her channel and bagging and plenty should come up.
