So I made this once and struggled with fitting the 2 curves together at the end when joining back and fronts at the bottom. Is the waffle fabric you use stretchy? Perhaps this is why I am struggling. I am making it for the second time and was extra careful with cutting and following all the other instructions but still having this difficulty and even more so, with a thicker fabric. The bottom front curve is much wider in circumference than the back and so is not fitting together well. Not sure how to fix this issue.....????

A well proportioned bag and clear tutorial. I think your method of attaching the strap adjuster is far more awkward than it need be, however, especially for a thicker fabric. Simply attach the adjuster to one strap end first, then feed the strap through one D ring, back through the adjuster and then sew onto the remaining D ring.

Many thanks from Greece, for this great tutorial 🪡 I have two questions. On the patterns that I bought you have 2 measurements of something called light weight webbing. What is the light weight webbing and how much outer and lining fabric need to buy? 😊

Hello, lightweight webbing is the strap. You can buy it in different thicknesses. It's important you don't buy webbing that is too thick because otherwise you won't be able to pass it through your sewing machine. It could damage it. You need 58cm x 58cm outer fabric

I would like to sew bag in a polar fabric, infortunately when I sew zipper the polar fabric stretched and bicame longer than the liner fabric. How can I do now ?

Stretch fabrics can be difficult to sew with but not impossible. Try changing the foot on your machine to a knit foot. Let me know your order number I will send you my updated pattern. This includes more information to help guide you when you're sewing

Could you suggest alternatives for the Vilene d640? I can't get it here in Canada and all the fusible fleece I've found its stiff like felt.

You could try curtain interlining/bump? It has nice body but doesn't make it spongy. You could cut out the outer/lining pattern pieces in curtain bump and then baste the outer and curtain bump pattern pieces together.

bought the pattern but my papers dont have sewing allowance like it shows in the video.... am I adding sewing allowance before cutting the fabric or the patter is already assuming sewing allowance?

Yes it can. A good time to check the webbing strap length is correct is just before you close the strap. Wrap the bag around your waist and test to see if it is tight enough. You can cut the webbing strap to make it shorter if needed. Happy sewing :)
