I have been looking at striping designs for the past 3 years. This is the one!!!! It has to work!.....I built my mower attachment today...I recently got a Ryobi battery powered mower because it was basically given to me for free so I didn’t even hesitate to start making adjustments to it. I really hope that it works....I’ve watched your video 10x in anticipation and living the striping game vicariously through you. I can only hope to replicate these magnificent stripes. Thank you for sharing your lawn care tips, tricks and builds. Hoping to accomplish this summer: 1) Thick Thick Thick KGB & Rye mix 2) A level lawn 3) 2.5” mowing height 4) Striping game dominating like this video Thanks for the motivation and Inspiration!

I have never used a striping kit, but mowed professionally for around 12 years. I had clients tell me their yard looked like velvet when I was done. A tip for striping when you don't have a kit is to double cut your yard. You notice a huge difference in the stripes after the second cutting. If you are using a riding mower or commercial walk behind, do your second cutting with the deck in the transport position.

@@lakehouselawncare1755 I'll definitely be trying it here in the uk. Not sure if we have a 3inch pipe that has an insert but that's what's always put me off making one is the end caps that go outside instead of in lol. Would you say having just the 1 connection to the mower and the dragger in the center would work just as well as having one on each end like yours? I was thinking the only thing to do different was from the dragger add a 10inch thread with a hoop on the end that then I can click onto the mower, that way backing up it wouldn't be able to roll under the mower as the threaded rod will keep it solid.
@lakehouselawncare1755

I have a great idea that I think will work the best! Use a little common sense and ask yourself what makes our hair sit down? A Comb! So build a comb like structure built at an inward angle so it replicates combing your hair. This should be guaranteed to work the best. When I run a bunch of rubber tires over my hair it does nothing. But a simple comb lays it down.

Thank you! The heavier the roller, the more defined stripes you will get. If you have a self propelled mower, be careful not to strip the gears with too much weight, though.

Be careful of fungal diseases popping up in spring or fall w this mowing style. Or on lawns that are (over) watered w mal-adjusted sprinkler systems. Just fyi 💖

I can't understand lawn striping with a piece of PVC pipe? Your using a toro time master why not buy a toro striping kit? I use a mower I found in an alley that makes stripes like a boss

Hi, Rosa! That’s awesome that you have great stripes from a mower you found! I have a toro Greensmaster, but the highest I can cut with that mower is 1 inch and I can’t do that in the front yard because it’s too shaded for that height. The toro striping kit is over $100 and my striping kit cost me $10. The pvc bends the grass blades and makes awesome stripes when I use my rotary mower. Thanks for watching!
