OLD LEATHER SMITH here, Excellent Job, Suggestion, put a clamp on one end and you will have better control of your cut and U won't have 2 push on the leather in the opposite direction, GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃

The only problem is that there is no way of adjusting the cutter for different thicknesses of leather. A thinner leather would bunch up against the inside of the tool.

Yes, thank you for the warning. I can cut only thick leather. Thin leather can not be cut wtih this way. In fact, the best way to cut thin leather is with a cutting machine.

It is a 3.5 - 4,0 mm thick leather belt. I am from Turkey and I buy it from Turkish tannery factory.

Why is the cutter hanging?

It is a utility knife. It is not fixed on the cutter wood. I take the knife out, sharpen it and use again. Sorry for late reply :)
