DIY Light and Shutter Upgrades for a 16mm Projector

Upgrading a 16mm Projector with a digitally controlled LED with my friend Vangelis Lympouridis. He wanted to give his projector a few improvements, including replacing the traditional incandescent light bulb with an LED and using a micro-controller to replace the mechanical shutter. Little did we know... flashing a high power LED so rapidly is non-trivial.

Super nifty project. I'm curious if you have had any experience with pausing or slowing down film on this projector - with normal halogen or xenon lamps celluloid quickly melts or deteriorates if frame rates drops too low. What kind of LED bulb did you use for this?

I wish that you you would take the time to show everyone how you did it exactly because by removing the shutter control and just doing it one frame at a time would take forever if you're using light source to put the image on screen by removing the shutter control then it would have to go on and off constantly please make a video explaining the way you did this that way you can help others and also the power supply that you're using the LED light that you're using and exactly how did you do it by turning on and off one frame at a time this is a good video but you need to make the video in a way to help others so they can duplicate the same process if you're going to make a video to show how you did something you need to take the time to show it from beginning to end even though you might have to make it into many different videos and it might take you longer I greatly appreciate you trying to help us but if I make a video on how to do this I will make it in a way that everybody can understand the process because it's one frame at a time and we would like to know exactly how you doing it and how to do it and what parts to get thank you very much
