This was perfect as a vanity desk for me. kzbin.infoUgkxMAlHv7-BBWMrPRm5-uEoD6rtdT7SG2Qr Especially the glossy finish. Easy to cleanI was looking for something that wasn't the traditional white and with more of a modern feel. This fit the bill beautifully. I put it together with no problems, by myself in under an hour.Make sure you double check where you place the drawer tracks before screwing down. I had one track that needed to be aligned with different holes than the rest.

If you run gas with that welder you'll enjoy welding 100X more. weld will be clean with no slag and it'll just be night and day. I taught myself to weld both mig and tig and I remember switching to gas mig after flux core and I was like "Why didn't I do this ages ago?". Trust me, its definitely worth it. Awesome video keep up the good work!

I love seeing people DIY things they have never done before, and because they TOOK THE TIME TO RESEARCH FIRST, the projects turn out really well. Kudos on leaving the holes large enough for the wood to expand/contract! A lot of people wouldn't have thought to do that. I haven't really done any kind of wood working in 30+ years and I'm getting back into it a bit with plans to build a table top, coffee table, floating entertainment center and eventually a full California King sized bed with storage. I'll probably use black walnut because it is a good hard wood and with just mineral oil, it brings out such a gorgeous wood color. I'd never seen a hand held planer like that before, so thanks for mentioning this. I may see how that works. If I'm not happy with it, I can still take the table tops to a local wood working shop and rent 30 minutes on their high end planer to make a few passes. Thanks for the video, and nice job with the welding!

Love your build and documentation. I know the feeling as I built 3 live edge tables pretty much the same way. Electric planer and track saw. One tip was after the two track saw cuts, but the edges then cut between the two again. This makes a better joint for glue up. I skipped the wafers I had the SAME epoxy nightmare. Ultimately I did the first tun with 5 min epoxy. Much ticker, easier and faster. Great tips. .
@diyhuntress3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Slab and cracks were too significant to use 5 minute epoxy. I should have used table top instead of deep pour. Would have worked better. But, every build is a new lesson and I’m cool with that. 😊

Bloody awesome ~ You have given me the courage to get in and make myself live edge galley kitchen bench tops... Have made one for the bathroom vanity top, happy with it but so much smaller than the Kitchen. One bench top is over 3mt long.. Sadly I don't have anyone to help me move it. So hiring a couple of fellas to come and help me move it around. She's level, now I have to tidy up the edges. Fill holes and Varnish I think, not 100% on that one. I know this video you have made is over a year and a half old and I've watched it a few times, but Ms, Huntress you have given me the incentive to get in and get it done... wish me luck.
