What size was the tenon cutter u used?? The round one for cutting the tenons??

wonderful. Can you list all of the tools and bits that you used? I maker them with an axe and an auger and it takes a long time. With those power tools i bet i could make two in a day.

On_The_Fly Outdoors you need fresh trees. But not all trees are equal. They all have different strengths & weaknesses. Plus they all have different shrinkages

Hi, Have you had to deal with checking in the logs once the bed has been built ? If so, what can I use to fill in the cracks. Much obliged for any assistance !

If there is a slight check in them you can put cyanoacrylate in to it prevent further checking. I've done an epoxy pour in them and it looks great

What finish did you apply to the bed frame? I'm finishing a log railing for inside a cabin, and tried Tung Oil as well as a wood wax, both of which did not bring the color through very well. We want to bring the color out and protect the wood. Thoughts?
