Instead of scraping the bubbles off, use a small spray bottle with rubbing alcohol to mist them and they will go away. Also, the clear gel, rather than the pearl or milky body washes work much better.

I just made a few. One with olay and two with bath and body works shower gel. I'll let you know how they turn out in the morning!

Salt thickens detergents but there is something called a salt curve which means that if too much salt is added it will have the opposite effect and become too thin. If the original detergent is thickened with salt you can hit the salt curve with a tiny amount extra. Try dissolving salt in hot water and adding it to your Dove wash. Even without gelatine it will probably get like snot. Continue adding it and it will eventually be like water.

Just search bubble bars there are a million videos on how to make them with two ingredients or you can make them like lush does but that involves lots of ingredients and you don't use bath soap All the gradient you add a chemical reaction that creates a cell soap but you can only get the stuff online

when I made mine (earlier today lol) I did a packet of gelatine in 1/4 cup of cold water, added 1/4 cup of hot/boiling water, and 1/3 cup of shower gel. I haven't checked on it because I'm letting it set for 24 hours, but I think it'll turn out fine that way

I retried it and i took them out of the molds and it was clumpy. last time it didn't set but I kept them in the fridge for 2 days. I added salt, and it still doesnt work! plz help me. wrong gelitain? Cause my mom has 2 brands of gelitain and she doesn't want me using the Knox gelitain. so I have to use the other brand. the gelitain worked fine a couple months back when I used this recipe. plz help!

It looks like the gelatin was better dissolved in the second batch; there were leftover chunks of gelatin visible in the bowl of the first batch. It probably just didn't have the ratio it needed to set because of that. C:

Mistake 1: Shower gel is not body was. Body wash is thicker and less water based. Mistake 2: How water will be the only thing that activates gelatin correctly. Add hot water and stir till lumps are gone and it is smooth. Mistake 3: Food coloring is not cosmeticaly approved. Use dyes or colorants that are skin safe and do not cause irritation and staining Mistake 4: Rubbing alcohol will pop the bubbles not scooping them out. Scooping them can take liquids needed and cause a chemical inbalance.
@Falney7 жыл бұрын
The sls is causing the froth. If you fold the ingredients instead of whisking, you will get much less bubbles forming on the surface
