I just bought all the items needed to build my own expect I went with your advice and got a 18 inch nipple instead of the 24. I feel I would be more comfortable with the shorter pipe because I am not very tall. Thanks for the great video!

Any looseness between 2" hole plates and 1.5" diameter pipe?

Not really since the 1.5” is the inside diameter. It fits how plates fit on an axle bar.

Hey bro! Randomly stumbled upon this after looking through r/steelmace. I was surprised about how expensive maces were ($299 for some!). Fellow Midwesterner here (heard you namedrop Menards)! How tall are you? I'm 6'3". Did you end up switching it to an 18"? Informative video!

I’m 6’ I did go down to the 18”. $300 is spicy but it’s definitely way cheaper than buying maces from 10-60lbs fixed. I have one dropping soon that will be about $200
