Start by using the 9th cord from the left tying 8 double half hitch knots. It's a beautiful design.

Hi Kathleen, you might wanna slow the video down to have a closer look since I used 8 cords just like my written instructions. I started with 8 cords of 430cm then folded each of them into half before adding them to the wooden ring. I am glad you liked the design. Hope that you will figure this out and successfully make your own piece. 🤗

With 16 cords I couldn't get 8 dhhk on both sides starting in the middle so I figured out I needed to start by using the 9th cord from the left as my filler cord going left. But I only get 7 dhhk on the next step going right.
