I use wooden basket bottoms that can also be used for crochet off of Amazon. It's much easier and they aren't very expensive.

What a great tutorial, thank you so much. I can see me making a stack of these for around my home. Do you think some fabric glue would help to reinforce the knots when you cut off?? This would be perfect in a bunch of other sizes too, (math isnt my strong suit) what amount of strands would i need to make the pattern fit to either increase or decrease the size of this please?? Je vais essayer le tuto car le panier est tres beau, par contre en ayant regarde plusieurs autres tutos de panier je pense que pour le debut, le plus simple est d'épingler les cordes pour faire les premiers noeuds ou d'utiliser une corde à l'horizontal...
