Wow! Both are absolutely beautiful BUT the first one is my favorite. ❤❤❤ You did an excellent job with this tutorial. Now I must shop for MORE rope in contrasting colors and MORE wooden rings that are big enough for this. I gotta tell ya'... I'm headed to the poor house if I don't stop acquiring new hobbies. LOL! 🤣😂🤣 I really like how you tied off the end. I saw another video earlier that showed how to make both ends look the same BUT your way is much easier.👍 I think I'll make these to go with the knitted macrame rope potholders I've made for Christmas gifts. Thank you so much for sharing this awesome tutorial!🙏❤😊 Btw... I'm tuning in from Northeast Georgia USA.

One more thing... I was just about to order wooden rings but I need clarification. Are your wooden rings 5cm OUTSIDE DIAMETER or 5cm INSIDE DIAMETER? Thanks!😊

5mm ring outer diameter. this is for thin and small kitchen towels. you can use a larger diameter 😁

Thanks, but I wasn't asking about the thickness of the ring. Geometry & measurements can get confusing sometimes.😄 I was asking about the inner and outer "diameter" of the circle/ring. How big is the circle from across one side to the other side for the inner and outer circle? I bought some rings today that are 4-inches across in diameter and I think they're way too big. I do have a few rings that are 5cm across/diameter (or about 2-inches across) so I might be able to use those. Is that close in size to what you used? I have my rope now and I'm very excited to make one!😃 Thank you so much for all your help! 🙏❤️

It's me again to say nevermind on the measurement. I'm in the US and I'm still not totally adept at the metric system although I do use it some but I checked and 5cm is about 2 inches so I'm using the size you used and will return the huge 4-inch rings. I've started working on it. I'm using light blue and natural white. My progress just beneath the first bump and I've started knotting upwards to finish the bottom half of the 1st "X" pattern around the bump. Although I've NEVER done macrame, you've done such a magnificent demonstration, I'm confident mine will be almost ("almost" due to pack of experience) as beautiful as yours. Hopefully, the next time you hear from me it will be me telling you again how wonderful you are to get me to the finish line of this project and maybe I can share a photo with you. Have a really awesome day!😃😃😃😃

Most people want the 4 in outside diameter (2.95 inside) for thicker hand/ kitchen towels

Sorry for the additional comment but my browser won't let me edit my original comment. Anyway, I'm new to macrame and I was wondering if you've ever tied off your finished end by making it look identical to the beginning end? If you skip to 06:20 in the following video, it shows what I'm talking about and how to do it. Your way is much easier though. Your first hanger is very beautiful exactly the way you've finished it but I thought you might be interested to see this technique that makes the ends mirror each other. Again, your way is perfectly fine but I wanted to show you this if you're interested. I've ordered rope and I plan to make several of your 1st design so thanks again so much for the beautiful tutorial!❤️❤️❤️ ***Skip to 06:20... kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3vCq52JbaaGftksi=J2hVmd3GRkS890-l

Hi! Thanks for the feedback. I can make 囗 this end, but it doesn't hold very well and can come undone during the process. So it's not practical. And if you make it stronger, you need to use a special needle to hide the ends🥰🥰
