Hi Happy Bird. I used to make these in the late seventies early eighties when I had my own craft business doing house parties and craft fairs. Used to use thin or medium size red or green ribbon for Christmas and put different things in the middle bells small holiday flowers or whatever looked nice .A friend decided to decorate her tree with just these snowflakes. I finally went back to teaching and sold my business supplies. This is the first time I’ve seen anyone make these also. The only difference was I wouldn’t cut the lace till I formed the snowflake then would tie off and cut. I worked faster that way. Sold them for a dollar at that time. Was a best seller. There was a lace warehouse in Perth Amboy, NJ that I used to go to. Much love making these.
