Your process is much simpler than others i have seen. Granted the bootstrap pattern would be ideal but for those on a much tighter budget your idea seems to be more affordable. Thank you for making this video.💐

And I have developed the sewing of a sartorial mannequin with all the construction lines! Soft, you can stick needles in, iron on it and having a pattern, then you can both in the pattern itself to change some shapes, and when stuffing to add a tummy or breast to increase))))

I just started making outfits for cosplay. Having my own dress form will be really helpful. Thank you, for making the video.

I’m so glad it’s helped you! I first learnt this technique from someone that made their own cosplay outfits☺️ x

@@hannahellamakes I already have made some cosplay outfits for myself. It would have been a lot easier and faster to make with a dress form. Going to the store to buy the stuff I need for making the dress form.

This exactly what I had being thinking, like a piñata. I've been wanting to make a mannequin. I have watched a few videos and been wrecking my brain of better ideals than what I have watched. I truely believe this is the best video and your mannequin turned out perfect. I have another ideal in mind but going to try it but with maybe a toddlers outfit. Something small, so I don't waste alot of materials if it doesn't work out. Hopefully it works and maybe I can make a video 🙂 Anyway EXCELLENTT job young lady 👏👏👏👏👏

@@hannahellamakes You are so welcome sweetie. I haven't tried it my way yet, but did try it a different way making a small one to start with, but I messed up already but going to finish it, as a practice run. Going to definitely try another and if it doesn't come out right. I will have to go with your way fs 🙂 Yes will def share a video if I ever get around to doing it right, lol.

Absolutely perfect for my needs. I have a 'supposedly' adjustable shop bought mannequin BUT i cant get my own size also i have a long torso. Just ordered duct tape and cling film. My hubby is going to squirm wrapping me in all this 😂. Thanks for the very simple tutorial ❤

Love the outfit you're wearing in this tutorial......did you sew that yourself? My mom used to sew when I was a kid back in the 80's and had a few like these that she made from a pattern she picked up at the sewing shop. She used to use the same foot powered sewing machine my great grandmother used to sew with, haha. Great tutorial......looking at options to make a resin mannequin for an art project I'm working on.

Hello , your video is very helpful, the duct tape you used is fabric or just plastic? Thank uu

Are you able to pin fabric on this mannequin?
@hannahellamakes3 жыл бұрын
You can pin fabric to the mannequin, although the pins do get a bit sticky from the tape ☺️

Brilliant video and instructions and supplies list. I'm going to use corrugated plastic instead of cardboard. With all these elections going on, there'll be loads of campaign signs that can be useful, instead of being tossed into landfills. I'll use a lightweight stretchable knit fabric for the decoupage layer to make a "skin" for the outer layer.

After one year, would you change anything about your mannequin?
@fiemy68882 жыл бұрын
I know I’m not the creator, I just happened to see this comment. I have just started making the bootstrap fashion dress form, since it's made to your measurements, it looks a bit cleaner and it's fully pinnable. I think this solution is great if you are in a pinch, but I can only imagine that your pins would become sticky, and since you are taping over your body, and papermache-ing, you are essentially adding bulk. At least those were my considerations.

The duck tape made my pins dull and slightly sticky.
