If you want some color on them but still want to see the lights through them try mixing food coloring with glossy mod podge and painting them. It makes them look like stained glass and is so pretty.

Thank you for sharing. Hobby lobby and Michael's have coupons to reduce the cost of craft items. Dollar Tree flowers do cost less but they seem much smaller. I will attempt this project. Thanks again.

It appears that you have sisal rope. It is more difficult to work with. It is best to use a cotton rope. It absorbs the glue better. Also, sisal rope is very rough on your hands. You can also purchase nautical rope at Dollar Tree. It is better for crafting. I like your project and I hope this information helps you before you take on another one using rope. Good job!👍😊

It came out very nice, I was adding up the cost of everything you got at hobby lobby and it was well over 40 bucks 👀 you could have gotten everything at dollar tree and it would have been like 7 dollars, or you could buy it off of lakeside websites for 10 dollars, but then you wouldn't have the joy of making it yourself.
